Jonah Castañeda Barry is a Chicano experimental multimedia artist currently located in Minneapolis, MN. He has a passion for direction, sound design, cinematography and editing. His work has been featured in and displayed at Midwest Weirdfest, Serpentina Film Festival, Stereogum, The Current’s “Friday Five”, ACM Film Festival’s “Best of The Midwest” screening, The Milwaukee Short Film Festival, The Experimental Forum in Los Angeles, FilmNorth’s Cinema Lounge, Thair Thursday’s Weird Stuff Only, and The Critical Edge Film Series, among others.
He is a long distance runner, a multimedia marketing specialist, a cinephile, a noise music producer, a podcast producer, a community organizer, a contributor to the Cult Classics mutual aid network, a member of the DSA, and the sole guardian of a cute cat named Moco.
